Literacy Groups: Day 1

This morning began the start of a 5 week literacy focus for students in our Elementary to Intermediate grades. 

Each student in Grades 2-8 has been divided into mixed levelled groups and will be working together on activities centered around a short story. Our focus for the month of May is on stories from the Indigenous People of Canada. Today's story was a Coast Salish Story entitled Crow and Little Bear.

Each group will now rotate around to different classes (some outdoors) to dissect the story of the week through a variety of different scopes - STEM, Music, Drama, Art and Dance. 

A students ability to truly understand a story can be showcased via many means! We are all excited for next week!
